Darius Boyd counted his lucky stars after he remained on the field after being penalised for pulling Matt Bowen off the ball. A 'soccer-style' kick-a-thon from the Cowboys on full time gave up the final points with Gavin Cooper awarded a try after four short kicks upfield. An amazing four-pointer closed the game for the Cowboys 32-12.

The Newcastle Knights were defeated in their second straight loss as they failed to score points in the second half. Despite the Knights crossing the line mutilple times they were denied on each occasion.
