Cowboys Make It Back To Back
Victories

The North Queensland Cowboys have recorded their second successive victory of the season after a hard fought win over the South Sydney Rabbitohs at Aussie Stadium this evening.

The Cowboys won even though they were outscored four tries to three by Souths but the boot of Josh Hannay proved the telling factor with the Cowboys centre landing 7/8 with the boot with five of the conversions penalty goals.

In a game that never reached any great heights, the Cowboys forwards laid a solid platform for the backs and Souths simply made far too may errors to win the game.

Both sides face tough matches next week with the Cowboys hosting the Broncos in Townsville in a match sure to sell out while the winless Rabbitohs travel across the Tasman to face the Warriors.

Souths need some luck to go their way and if they lose to the Warriors next weekend, they will fast lose touch with the front runners while the Cowboys can go into the Broncos match full of confidence after recovering from a terrible start to the season.
