Creagh out for 2-3 weeks

  • by

St George Illawarra Ben Creagh may be sidelined until the NRL preliminary finals if the Dragons make it that far.

In a huge blow to the in-form Dragons, Creagh suffered a slight meniscal tear in his left knee during his side's victory over Newcastle yesterday at Kogarah, sealing a top-two spot. The back-rower will be out of action for two to three weeks, meaning he'll miss St George Illawarra's finals clash with Cronulla on Saturday night at Wollongong.

New South Wales centre Matt Cooper will return from a hamstring injury for the Dragons, who will earn a week's rest if they beat the out-of-form Sharks.
