Danny Williams judgment put on
hold

Danny Williams' career remains in limbo after Melbourne Storm's management provided evidence that Williams was suffering from "post-traumatic amnesia" when he knocked out Wests Tigers back rower Mark O'Neill last weekend.

The National Rugby League Judiciary agreed to adjourn the hearing for two weeks.

The 30-year-old prop forward had earlier pleaded guilty to an ungraded striking charge before Storm officials called former Australian Rugby League doctor Nathan Gibbs to give medical evidence.

Gibbs testified Williams may have been suffering from post-traumatic amnesia, resulting from an earlier O'Neill tackle.

Chairman Greg Woods then asked the panel of Ian Roberts, Bob Lindner and Darrell Williams whether they would like more information on the medical evidence, and an adjournment followed.

Williams will now have to wait two-weeks, but will remain on the sidelines, with Woods declining a request for Williams to be allowed to play until the resumption of his case.
