Danny Williams suspended for 18
weeks

Melbourne Storm?s Danny Williams has been suspended for 18 weeks by the NRL judiciary tonight for striking Wests Tigers forward Mark O?Neill.

The judiciary deliberated for over three and half hours before handing down Williams? 18-week ban after the Storm forward argued he was suffering from post-traumatic amnesia following an earlier high tackle by O?Neill.

Williams has missed the Storm?s past two matches while the case was adjourned for a fortnight. The Storm veteran of over 200 first-grade games will miss the rest of the season, including Friday night?s clash with the St George Illawarra Dragons in Wollongong.
