Fulltime score: Premier League Grand Final Parramatta Eels 31 def. Sydney Roosters 12

Match summary: The Parramatta Eels have taken the Premier League title with a 31-12 victory over the Sydney Roosters at Telstra Stadium this afternoon.

The Eels opened the scoring in the 25th minute with a try to fullback Joel Reddy, before youngster Jarryd Hayne crossed twice in succession to give the Eels an 18-0 halftime lead.

The game appeared to be decided early in the second half after Eels centre Ashley Graham crossed to give the Eels a 24-0 lead, but the Roosters hit back with successive tries and with 25 minutes remaining, the lead was reduced to 12.

A late field goal from Marcus Perenara and a try from Drew Dalton ensured the Eels were going to take the Premier League title, running out winners by 31 points to 12.

The win comes as a consolation for the Eels, and no doubt eases the pain of last week?s shock elimination from first grade.
