Wests Tigers Captain Darren Senter today announced his retirement from the game at the end of Season 2004.
?Football has been a huge part of my life, and I?m going to miss it, but it?s time to take the next step. I?m looking forward to more time with my family and taking on a new challenge?.
?At this stage, I am in discussion with the Club regarding my ?after footy? career and am very excited about the new challenges that may be available for me. Remaining with the Club is important to me as it?s been part of my life for so long?, said Senter.
?Darren?s contribution to the club has been invaluable, both on and off the field, it is rare to see players stay with one club for so long, but Darren?s leadership, determination and attitude have made him one of the greats of the game and this club?, said CEO Stephen Noyce.
Senter is one of the few remaining players still with the club since the joint venture took place 5 years ago.
?Seeing the two clubs evolve into one was certainly an interesting time, and whilst it has been a challenge I wouldn?t have changed a thing?.
?I?m now looking forward to playing out the season and saying farewell to all the loyal and dedicated fans who have supported me throughout my career?.
?Hopefully I can play a role in the Club achieving their first ever Final Series appearance? said Senter.
