Leeds Rhinos booked their place in the Grand Final with a hard-fought win over Wigan Warriors at Headingley Carnegie Stadium.

In a very tense first half both teams cancelled each other out with big hits on show, the first points came after Jamie Jones-Buchanan made an 80-meter break for Leeds, only for Mark Calderwood to bring him down just short of the line. Calderwood interfered with the- play-the-ball and was sin-binned along with Keith Senior of the Rhinos after a 20-man brawl. Kevin Sinfield kicked the penalty. Pat Richards equalised for the visitors with a penalty goal but just before the break Lee Smith scored the first try of the game after good work from Rob Burrow to give the hosts a narrow 6-2 interval lead.

Leeds came out strong in the second-half and took the game to Wigan and if not for the brilliance of Calderwood
