In a very tight first half Peter Fox scored the only points of the half on five minutes for Rovers as he squeezed into the corner. The Tigers looked to have been denied a penalty try just before the break as Kirk Dixon was impeded out wide.
The Robins extended their lead early into the second-half, Michael Dobson's well-weighted kick bounced perfectly for Shaun Briscoe to score. Ex Knight Mitchell Sargent barged over from close range for the Tigers to get them on the scoreboard.
However, Stanley Gene burst through to set up Briscoe, for his second and seal Rovers the win to maintain their second place in the engage Super League table.
