St Helens cruised to a comfortable victory over 12-man Wigan Warriors at the JJB Stadium.
Lee Gilmour scored the first try of the game for Saints and Wigan suffered a huge blow on five minutes when hooker Mike Mcllorum was shown a red-card for a high tackle on Ade Gardner after this it was one-way traffic as the Visitors led 22-6 at the break. Gardner, Keiron Cunningham and James Roby all got on the score-sheet with Thomas Leuluai being the hosts try scorer.
It was not much better for the Warriors in the second half as St Helens once again dominated. Jon Wilkin, Matt Gidley, Sean Long and another for Gardner put the visitors out of sight. Mickey Higham managed a late consolation for Wigan but Saints marched on to record their 15th straight win and a third win of the season over their local rivals.
