Wigan Warriors scored 28 unanswered points to run out winners over Leeds Rhinos at a packed JJB Stadium.

Leeds started the stronger and opened up a 10-0 lead with tries from Danny McGuire and Scott Donald, however this was to be the end of the scoring for the Rhinos as Wigan got back into the game through George Carmont just before the break.

The second half belonged to Wigan as they piled on the pressure and kept Leeds scoreless. Harrison Hansen gave the hosts the lead with the Tomkins brothers Joel and Sam adding other tries. Pat Richards kicked six goals as the Warriors kept the pressure on the top four and dented the Rhinos chances of being the Minor Premiers.

There was also major injury concern for Leeds as star hooker Danny Buderus was stretched off and suffered a fractured tibia which could probably end his season.
