Wigan Warriors got back to winning ways with a hard-fought victory over Bradford Bulls at a wet JJB Stadium.

Played in rain and windy conditions Bradford opened up an 8-0 lead with a try from Wayne Godwin and two goals from Paul Deacon. But Wigan hit back straight way with two quick scores from George Carmont and Darrell Goulding to take a 12-8 lead at the break.

In the early stages of the second half Pat Richards leaped above Paul Sykes to extend the hosts lead, after a cross-field kick from Trent Barrett. Substitute Chris Feather close range try gave the Bulls some hope but a mistake from Michael Platt let in Joel Tomkins to wrap up the win for Wigan.

Harrison Hansen had the final say in the game with a last minute score to inflict a third defeat of the season on the Bradford Bulls.

Harlequins claimed a late win over pointless Castleford Tigers at the Jungle.
