ESL weekend wrap up

Bradford Bulls kept up their unbeaten start to Tetley's Rugby Super League IX on Sunday with a 20-6 win at Huddersfield, while Warrington Wolves defeated Castleford Tigers and Hull FC saw off London Broncos.

At The McAlpine Stadium, two of Super League's 100% records met, and it was Huddersfield who would taste defeat for the first time this season.

They trailed just 4-2 at the break and 8-6 after the hour, but late tries to Paul Deacon and Paul Johnson helped them keep pace with Leeds Rhinos and St Helens.

Castleford Tigers produced an improved display against Warrington at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, but went down 32-18 to the Wolves.

They led 12-0 early on and, despite conceding two tries to John Wilshere, kept ahead at the break before Paul Noone, Brent Grose, Paul Wood and Mark Hilton scored to give Warrington the win.

London Broncos join Castleford without a win in Super League IX after their 46-4 defeat at Hull.

Seven second half tries helped Hull to see off the Broncos' challenge at The KC Stadium, with wingers Colin Best and Richie Barnett (jnr) each grabbing a brace.
