Gallen cited,
could be outed for two months

Cronulla's Paul Gallen could receive a two month ban from the National Rugby League judiciary after being charged with a grade two reckless high tackle.

Gallen was sent off following a tackle on Newcastle's Sean Rudder in the 65th minute of Saturday night's game at EnergyAustralia Stadium, won 30-24 by the Sharks.

The 21-year-old back rower could miss eight matches if he contests the charge at the judiciary and loses and six matches if he enters an early guilty plea. He is the first player to be sent off since Wests Tigers prop Corey Pearson was dismissed in round 23 last season.
