The initial offering of tickets to this year's NRL grand final sold out in record time in another indication that interest in rugby league has never been stronger.

The initial offering of 76,000 tickets sold just before noon yesterday. The 7,000 remaining tickets for the October 2 decider at Telstra Stadium will be offered to season ticket holders during grand final week.
