Henry to debut for Titans

Former Newcastle Knights playmaker Beau Henry will make his anticipated club debut for the Jetstar Gold Coast Titans in Saturday night's all-Queensland derby against the North Queensland Cowboys at Skilled Park.

The 21-year-old former Toyota Cup Player of the Year was today named at five-eighth by Jetstar Titans Coach John Cartwright in a new-look backline to take on the Cowboys in what will mark his first appearance in Gold Coast colours since making a mid-season switch from the Knights last month.

In further team changes following the loss of lock Ashley Harrison to an elbow injury and prop Michael Henderson to a broken finger, William Zillman will switch from five-eighth to the centres while Bodene Thompson moves from the centres to the backrow.

Prop Brenton Lawrence also makes his return on the interchange bench in his third NRL appearance.

Henry has played six NRL matches since making his first grade debut for Newcastle in Round 1 earlier this year before being granted a mid-season release to join the Titans.

The Shellharbour junior suffered a back injury in his second week of training for the Titans but made a successful return to the field for Queensland Cup feeder Cup Burleigh Bears last weekend.

Jetstar Titans Coach John Cartwright said he was eager to see how the skilful Henry would combine in a new-look halves combination with Captain Scott Prince.
