Hodgson free to play after entering
early guilty plea

Canberra forward Michael Hodgson will be available for the Raiders' National Rugby League game against Penrith on Saturday after entering an early guilty plea to a careless high tackle charge.

Hodgson was charged with a grade two offence following a tackle that resulted in St George Illawarra prop Ryan Tandy being forced from the field on Saturday night.

By entering an early guilty plea, the 23-year-old did not accrue enough penalty points to be suspended.

Cronulla and Penrith will decide tomorrow whether to contest careless high tackle charges against forwards Paul Gallen and Ben Roarty respectively.
