Injury blow - Sculthorpe
sidelined

Wigan prop Danny Sculthorpe could be out of action for upto three months with a shoulder injury.

Sculthorpe is suffering from a rotater cuff problem and a specialist has confirmed the extend of the damage , he will require surgery which will take place later today.

The news comes as a huge blow with Quentin Pongia retiring and Terry O'Connor out with a broken hand.

Acting Coach Denis Betts confirmed the news after Tuesday nights game at Hull which Sculthorpe played in,

"To lose Danny for such a long period of time is a big disappointment both for the player and the club. He has been in tremendous form and it means yet again we will all have to dig deep. It is great credit to Danny that he pulled on a shirt for the game knowing he was going into hospital to have a major operation."
