Jets Given a Footballing Lesson by the Tigers

The Newtown Jets VB Premier League team was given a 38-6 trouncing by the Balmain Tigers in the trial match played at Aussie Stadium on Saturday evening. This game was played as the main curtain-raiser to the inaugural Sydney Roosters v Wests-Tigers Foundation Cup match that drew a crowd of over 16,000. Balmain led 16-0 at half-time in the Premier League trial and scored a total of seven tries to the Jets one.
