Jim Beam Cup : Round 5 Preview

Sydney Bulls v Erina Eagles Friday 25th April 2003 3:00pm Potts Park Premiership favourites Sydney Bulls tackle the Erina Eagles on ANZAC day at home, and after suffering two consecutive defeats will be out for a win and to regain form. Erina had a week off last week due to the cancellation of their Round 4 encounter due to conditions at Erina Oval. Mono's tip: Sydney Bulls

St Marys-Penrith Cougars v Ryde Eastwood Hawks Saturday 26th April 2003 3:00pm Western Weekender Stadium Top of the table clash between the undefeated Hawks and Cougars. The Hawks came from behind to draw last weekends game against Wenty whilst the Cougars game against Erina was postponed due to weather. Arguably the match of the round and will hopefully see a large crowd at St Marys to watch this tough encounter. Mono's tip : St Marys-Penrith Cougars

Wentworthville Magpies v Ourimbah Magpies Saturday 26th April 2003 4:30pm Ringrose Park The clash of the Maggies at Wenty will see a form Wenty side clash with the new Maggy outfit from the Central Coast. Wenty last week showed they are one of the teams to beat in 2003 whilst Ourimbah had a dissapointing game against a determined Guildford outfit. Ourimbah will be playing for a win following last weekends effort though i feel Wenty will prevail due to a in form side and home ground advantage. Mono's tip : Wentworthville Magpies

Guildford Owls v The Entrance Tigers Saturday 26th April 2003 5:30pm McCredie Oval An improved Guildford outfit will clash with the impressive Tigers outfit on Saturday at Guildford. Guildford had a good win last week at home in front of loyal fans and will be determined to win again this weekend at home. Whilst The Entrance have had a week off following the cancellation of their Round 4 game against Newtown due to the weather. This will see a close game at McCredie on Saturday. Mono's tip: The Entrance Tigers

Windsor Wolves v Newtown Jets Saturday 26th April 2003 7:00pm Windsor Complex The inconsistent Wolves outfit will be at home against the winless Jets side. A big crowd is expected as the home games so far have attracted big crowds of 1500 a 2000, and this has created a top atmosphere at the Windsor Complex. This outcome is hard to pick as the Wolves have suffered to inconsistency and didnt perform at a great level last week in their defeat of the Roosters whilst the Jets had a weekend off due to the game cancellation against The Entrance. My pick sways to Windsor as the home crowd support should get them home. Mono's tip : Windsor Wolves

Woy Woy Roosters v Souths Juniors Sunday 27th April 2003 3:00pm Woy Woy Oval The Roosters will be at home to the in form Souths Juniors outfit. Woy Woy will be desperate for a win to get them off the bottom of the ladder whilst Souths Juniors are determined to keep up their winning ways and push themselves up the ladder. Woy Woy came close to a win last weekend against Windsor whilst Souths Juniors knocked off premiership big guns, Sydney Bulls. I think Souths have too much qaulity though for the Red and Whites. Mono's tip : Souths Juniors
