St George Illawarra prop Adam Peek will miss two matches after pleading guilty to a striking charge for his late hit on Adam Dykes in last night's 20-16 NRL loss to Cronulla.

Peek was sent off after clipping Dykes across the ear with his elbow long after the Sharks halfback had put in a kick downfield early in the second half. Sharks backrower Paul Gallen escaped suspension after taking the early plea for his grade-one careless high tackle charge.

Canberra forward Michael Weyman received a two-game ban for the high shot that knocked out Parramatta's Josh Cordoba. Penrith five-eighth Peter Wallace won't miss a game after pleading guilty to a grade-one careless tackle.
