The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and Des Hasler part ways, effectively immediately.

Newcastle have received a boost ahead of this week's game against Canterbury with news that former NSW Super 12 winger Milton Thaiday has joined the last placed outfit for the rest of the season.
The Knights have been struggling this season, with injuries to leading players cruelling their hopes so far. With the recent injury to Andrew Johns and other backs in Craig Hall (knee), Anthony Quinn (shoulder) and David Seage (knee) still on the sidelines, Thaiday could prove a handy acquisition.
The news comes on top of yesterday's revelation that All Black Carlos Spencer had been approached by the New Zealand Warriors. Thaiday will play against the Bulldogs in Premier League at Energy Australia Stadium this Sunday.
