Firstly in the NRL, there is just six rounds remaining of the regular season and the top 8 is all but finalised with the bottom 3 spots still up for grabs. As the Storm, Manly, Dragons, Cowboys, and the Broncos look set and comfortable in the top 5 sides this year. The Canberra Raiders have the possibility to make a late charge to the finals if they can win their last remaining 6 matches as the cut of is looking likely at 28 points. As a result the Eels, Roosters and Titans season's are over at this point for another year.

However over in England in the Super League, high dramas yesterday, as the RFL announced the 13 clubs who would join Widnes Vikings in Super League from 2012-2014.

Welsh club Crusaders RL withdrew their licence application despite being virtually assured of success, for as yet unknown reasons. It is widely believed to centre on financial difficulties, after the club were docked four competition points for entering administration. Rumours also suggest players have not been paid for up to three months.
