LeagueUnlimited Team Of The Week - National Rugby League - Round 13

With many top line players out due to the second State Of Origin, it was the perfect opportunity for some of the lesser known players to shine, and for some players to make a debut. Here is our Round 13, team of the week.

- Brett Hodgson (Wests Tigers) - Continuing his stellar form which has had him knocking at the door of re-selection for NSW. Another good performance could see him get a call up after the Blues capitulation in Origin II.

- Luke Covell (Cronulla) - Has hit a patch of great form of late. He picked up 3 tries against a fast finishing Penrith.

- Joel Reddy (Parramatta) - Was too good in attack and defence against an injury ravaged Raiders outfit. Broke the line twice and picked up a try in a dominant performance

- Josh Morris (Dragons) - Is starting to show just how good he can be and looks destined for certain rep duties in the future if he keeps this form going.

- Matt Utai (Bulldogs) - Showing glimpses of the form he once had. His powerful running game seems to be returning. He made 2 line breaks and scored a try in a beaten Bulldogs team.

- Feleti Mateo (Parramatta) - Has to be the most in-form player in the competition. Damaging runner at five-eighth with surprisingly good ball skills, he's been a headache for every team this season. He'll be extremely hard to stop against a lighter Tigers outfit.

- Matt Orford (Manly) - Was the sole destroyer for Manly against a hapless Roosters outfit. When he ran with the ball, the Roosters weren't sure what to do, and he toyed with their defence all game.

- Jason Ryles (Dragons) - Has been doing the hard work all year in the Dragons pack, and he continued it on Friday night against the Broncos. Played more minutes than any other prop last week, relentless in defence and making big metres in attack. In awesome form.

- Issac Luke (Souths) - Instrumental in Souths second victory of the year. In what has been a dismal season for Souths, Issac has really stepped up to the plate. He will form a lethal partnership with Craig Wing when he returns from injury.

- Brent Kite (Manly) - Made massive inroads all game against the Roosters. Completely dominant in attack.

- Chris Heighington (Tigers) - Continues to press for a rep selection. His continued strong performance has helped the lightweight Tigers be competitive for 80 minutes. Quite easily their best player this year so far.

- Luke Douglas (Sharks) - Honest hard working toiler. Amasses huge tackle counts and does plenty of work in attack. His solid work in both attack in defence has been a key ingredient to the more dominant Sharks pack this year.

- Sika Manu (Storm) - Carried the Storm forwards in attack with Jeff Lima. Was solid in defence and made many valuable metres.

- Ben Creagh (Dragons) - He just keeps getting better as the season progresses. His fitness, defence and attack are at their peak, so far.

- Ben Jeffrey (Titans) - The try he scored was pure skill and quite possibly one of the best ever. Has really come into his own this year.

- Benji Marshall (Tigers) - His confidence is coming back, look out! Stepping off both feet, running at the line, breaking tackles. If he stays fit, the Tigers will make the top 4.

- Mark Minichiello (Titans) - Has been consistently good all year. He's become an integral member of the Titans squad.
