Manly held their nerve tonight to stay atop the NRL ladder and win their ninth from their last ten in beating the Titans in a spectacle of football at Skilled Park tonight. The final score was 34 points to 14 though this was not a true reflection on the Titans performance tonight.
The Titans held a special meeting on Thursday to address the loss of Origin stars Scott Prince and Ashley Harrison. This seemed to have the desired affect when Anthony Laffranchi stormed onto a Nathan Friend pass in the ninth minute to give the home side a six nil lead. Manly then upped the intensity and after repeat attacking sets came up with a try to former Queensland Origin winger Steve Bell. That locked the scores up at six apiece and that was the way it remained until the
