Maroons crush Blues series hopes

QUEENSLAND have kick-started their campaign for a fourth consecutive State of Origin series with a 28-18 win over New South Wales in Melbourne tonight.

The Maroons dominated their rival for the majority of the match, the Blues fate sealed just after the siren when Greg Inglis palmed off defenders to give a flying Darius Boyd a one-handed offload to score.
