Matai to contest

Manly utility Steve Matai is the only player to face the NRL judiciary tomorrow night after opting to fight a high tackle charge. Matai faces a one game ban for a grade one careless high tackle on Knights prop Craig Smith in Manly's 22-14 loss at Newcastle on Sunday.

New Zealand Warriors hooker Monty Betham is out for one game after taking an early plea for a grade one dangerous throw. Betham faced a two week ban - which would mean the end of his season - if he fought the charge.

Cronulla backrower Cameron Ciraldo has also been banned for one game for a grade four careless high tackle on Sydney Roosters centre Ryan Cross in the Sharks' 14-8 loss on Saturday night. Ciraldo faced a two week ban if he fought the charge.

And South Sydney halfback Ben Walker has escaped suspension after entering an early guilty plea for a grade one careless high tackle.
