Matt Duffie re-signs with Storm

Melbourne Storm winger Matt Duffie has agreed to terms with the Club for the 2015 season.

Its great news for the Club and Duffie, who, has suffered an unlucky run with injuries over the last two seasons.

Duffie missed the 2014 season after injuring his anterior cruciate ligament at training in February, having just returned from the same injury sustained 12 months earlier.

Melbourne Storm physiotherapist Tony Ayoub and Andrew Nawrocki have overseen Duffie's rehabilitation and Ayoub attributes the 24 year-old's positive attitude in helping extend his 53 game career with Storm.

"Matt's resilience, application and dedication to his rehab program has been first class, it's fantastic that he has been rewarded with a contract extension," Ayoub said.

"He is on track with his recovery and will commence running in the next few weeks, if he continues to apply himself in the same manner he has so far, we expect him to be in a position to play by March.

"Matt's positive attitude has been exemplary and he is a delight to work with," Ayoub said.

Duffie said he was looking forward to the 2015 season.

"I very much appreciate the patience and support shown to me by Melbourne Storm.

"Signing a new contract today is another small step. I am very much looking forward to 2015," Duffie said.

Storm Football Director Frank Ponissi added, "We are thrilled Matt will be part of our 2015 NRL squad, he is a very well-liked and respected young man by all players and staff and its great news for the Club."
