McCarthy signs loan deal at Wildcats

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are delighted to welcome Tyrone McCarthy to the club, after signing him on a one month loan deal from Super League Club, Warrington Wolves.

A talented young player, 22 year old McCarthy has played for the Wolves from the age of 16, before signing professionally in 2009. His career so far has seen him win caps for the Great Britain and Ireland student squads, as well as being awarded Warrington's Reserves Player of the Year in 2008.

The young back rower also played in the squad that beat Huddersfield Giants at the 2009 Challenge Cup Final.

Outside of rugby, Tyrone has a degree in Sports and Physical Education, graduating with a 2:1 from Edge Hill University. Tyrone's favoured position is loose forward, and we look forward to seeing him play for Wildcats.
