McFADDEN EXPECTED FIT FOR RAIDERS
BUT JOHNSON IN DOUBT

Melbourne Storm halfback Andrew McFadden is expected to be fit for this Saturday night?s clash with the Canberra Raiders at Wagga, but injured back rower Dallas Johnson is in some doubt.

McFadden is expected to overcome an injured rib suffered during last week?s narrow loss to the Brisbane Broncos in Toowoomba, but Johnson is struggling to recover from a groin injury suffered during the same match.

?Andrew McFadden just had a little tear in his rib cartilage and has responded well to treatment, so he should be right to play this weekend,? Storm physiotherapist Matt Natusch said.

?We will continue to do some further tests on Dallas this week with his groin injury. He didn?t so much suffer a tear to the groin but it was jammed down on and therefore he may not have suffered an injury to the abductor tendon.

?We will have to wait and see how he progresses this week before making a decision on the Canberra match.?

Four key players who have been working to overcome groin injuries throughout the pre-season - Billy Slater, Stephen Kearney, Ryan Hoffman and Matt Orford - all got through Saturday night?s match without any concern.

Melbourne will travel to Wagga on Friday ahead of Saturday night?s match at Eric Weissel Oval - kick-off is at 6.30pm.
