Men in black too good for Warriors

Match Summary The Penrith Panthers have thrashed the New Zealand Warriors 46-22 at CUA Stadium this afternoon.

As a testimony to how bad the Warriors were, I started writing this report early in the second half believing they were finished but they even surprised with how meek their surrender was.

The Warriors had a very strong breeze at their back in the first half but failed to do anything substantial with the advantage and went to the break down 22-6.

The second half was more of the same and the Warriors made the Panthers look like world beaters with only Lance Hohaia and Simon Mannering providing any form of resistance against the home side.

The Panthers were good and looked very sharp at times but they still had some bad lapses in defence and that would be a worry for coach Matthew Elliott.

Frank Pritchard, Michael Jennings and Michael Gordon were outstanding for the Panthers, with all three players bagging a double and were well supported by Rhys Wesser, Luke Lewis and Trent Waterhouse.
