Michael Crocker - " I'm sweet
"

Sydney Roosters forward Michael Crocker says there's no way he'd miss the NRL club's preliminary final date with North Queensland on Sunday.

Crocker has a bulging disc in his neck but today ruled out any prospect of sitting out the grand final qualifier at Telstra Stadium.

"I'm sweet," he said.

"It's just a bit of neck pain. I wasn't going to sit on the sideline, no matter what."

Crocker suffered the injury during his side's opening finals win over Canberra.

He underwent scans which revealed the extent of the injury but is refusing to let it get the better of him.

"It's not so much the shoulder, it's the neck," Crocker said.

"I'm not worried about it. The only risk is if I get another spear tackle or tackle around my head."

Crocker, like everyone else in rugby league, has been impressed by the Cowboys' march through the finals, culminating in their stunning defensive effort against Brisbane on Saturday night.

The Queensland forward said the Roosters have to match their opponent's enthusiasm if they're to end North Queensland's run.

"The Cowboys played unreal," Crocker said.

"Their defence was unbelievable. They held Brisbane out. Brisbane couldn't penetrate them at all.

"That's a big achievement. The thing was Brisbane didn't even look like getting through them.

"They're playing with a lot of enthusiasm.

"They're all playing for each other. Everybody is getting on board.

"I guess we have to be as pumped as they are. It's semifinal football. Its do or die."
