Midlands Conference Premier Division news and previews

Following their win over Derby City last weekend, the Warriors have the bye in the Co-operative Rugby League Conference Midlands Premier Division and so will be kicking their heels while their rivals for the third play-off place do battle.

At Haslams, Derby City take on Leicester Phoenix looking to consolidate fifth place in the table. By their own admission, they did not play well against the Gloucestershire Warriors last weekend and a home game against the bottom side would be a good way to get back into form.

Coventry Bears travel to Birmingham Bulldogs looking for the win that would maintain the pressure on the leaders Nottingham Outlaws a week before the big showdown between the sides. The Bulldogs will be smarting from their 44-8 loss to Bedford last weekend and while they are a tough proposition at their Moor Lane home, the Bears should have too much firepower for them.

The game the Warriors are most interested in is the clash between Nottingham Outlaws and Bedford Tigers at The Bay.
