Minichiello re-signs with Roosters

Sydney Roosters fullback Anthony Minichiello has re-signed with the NRL club for another three seasons.

The Kangaroos custodian, who has been sidelined with a back injury since round six this season, has extended his tenure at the Roosters until 2009 after agreeing to a deal worth a reported $350,000 a season.

Minichiello, winner of last year's golden boot for international player of the year, underwent back surgery to correct a bulging disc on May 9, and is not expected to return to the NRL until the final few rounds of the season.
