Kiwi captain Ruben Wiki won the New Zealand Rugby League's Player of the Year at the annual NZRL awards evening in Auckland last night.

Wiki achieved a monumental 50 internationals after leading the side to a 24-0 win over Australia in the Tri-Nations final .
He beat fellow Kiwi team mates Benji Marshall and Paul Whatuira.

Marshall was named Rookie of the Year.

Brian McClennan won the Bartercard Coach of the Year award after winning the title with Mt Albert and he also won Personality of the Year.

Canterbury Bulls Chris Newton won the Bartercard Cup Player of the Year as well as the supreme achievment trophy.

Best domestic junior went to Sam Rapira.

Top referee award went to Glenn Black

Womens player of the year went to Rona Peters
