O'Donnell suspended following send off

North Queensland Cowboys forward Luke O'Donnell has been suspended for seven weeks by the NRL judiciary after being found guilty of two striking charges.

Following last Saturday's Cowboys v Panthers clash in Townsville, O'Donnell was charged with striking both Penrith's Luke Priddis and Luke Lewis in the neck or head region with his forearm during tackles, resulting in separate three week bans.

He was sent off for his hit on Lewis following a report from sideline official Russell Turner. His subsequent abuse aimed at the touch judge also earned a charge by the match review committee for which O'Donnell accepted a one week ban.

O'Donnell is now unavailable until round 21.
