There is little doubt in my mind that the welter of midseason transfers, and signings, is going to become a legal minefield for the game - if it is not so already.

As other writers have outlined, the number of players leaving one club for another during the season is now at record levels. This week we saw the Dragons Ritchie Williams shift to the Panthers where he is likely to make his debut in the next week or two.

These arrangements are now seen as being relatively straight forward. But they have one proviso - it requires the clubs the player wants to leave to agree to their release.
