'Ossie' new Eels boss

The Board of Directors of the Pirtek Parramatta Eels are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Paul Osborne to the role of Chief Executive Officer of the Parramatta Rugby League Club.

Mr. Osborne will commence his employment with the Club on Monday 13 July 2009.

One of his first official duties will be to attend the Pirtek Parramatta Eels round 18 Telstra Premiership clash against the Gold Coast Titans at Skilled Park.

Paul Osborne arrives at the Eels following a long career in Rugby League as both a player and administrator. A First Grade player with both St George (1985-1991) and Canberra (1992-94), he was a member of the Raiders 1994 Premiership winning team.

His retirement from playing was followed by a seven year stint as an independent member of the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly.

In 2005, Paul was appointed CEO of the National Rugby League Player Manager Accreditation Scheme. He is also a regular member of ABC Radio
