Overnight wrap: Roosters & Tigers

Inspirational Sydney Roosters captain Craig Fitzgibbon has won the Jack Gibson Medal for being the Sydney Roosters' Player of the Year.

The other main award winners were Brett Finch who won the Supporters' Club Player of the Year award and Adrian Morley who was voted clubman of the year. The underachieving Roosters failed to make the finals playoffs this season with their season ending on a low note with the departure of coach Ricky Stuart.

Wests Tigers chief executive Steve Noyce says the reigning NRL premiers will continue to work with police as they investigate allegations that a young woman was raped at a Sydney unit.

A 26-year-old woman has told police she may have been sexually assaulted on Monday morning at a unit in Five Dock, in Sydney's inner-west. It is believed the unit was the residence of a Tigers player, though this was not confirmed by either the club or police.

NRL chief executive David Gallop said the incident was "clearly a major concern" but would leave it in the hands of the police and the club.
