Panthers sign Smith

Penrith has signed 23-year-old Raiders winger/centre Nathan Smith on a two year deal.

Nathan, who made his NRL debut against the Cowboys in 2004, has made only seven first grade appearances - and scored seven tries.

He was out of action for the entire 2005 season because of a knee reconstruction.

Panthers General Manager Rugby League, Michael Leary, said today that Nathan is a big, strong winger who "comes highly recommended by Matt Elliott?.
