Parker signs up for 2 more years

The UK?s most successful Rugby club, Bradford Bulls, have announced that Prop Forward Rob Parker has signed a new two year contract at Odsal.

The 23-year-old Leigh native has been an integral performer for the Bulls this season, featuring in all 30 matches and scoring six tries.

Parker is delighted to be staying at Odsal for the immediate future:

?It?s great for me to know that my future is secure for another couple of years. I?m really happy. Joe Vagana has re-signed and there are some big names coming in as well. Everything is going in the right direction and I am just happy to be a part of it. I don?t get the big headlines or score all the tries but hopefully what people do recognise is that I am really hard working ? maybe unsung in a way ? and I?m fine with that.?

Chairman Chris Caisley hailed Parker as one of the most dependable and popular players at the club:

?He?s another top young player with a big future ahead of him and we are delighted to have secured him for another couple of years. He is steady, consistent, always plays above his weight and has a great temperament. We see him as an important player for the club for many future years. As well as being a good player, Rob is also a great person to have around. He?s part of the reason we have the best team spirit of any club going. When Daniel Gartner left the club he said we had the best bunch of lads he had ever played with. We haven?t lost that. That?s why we are where we are despite all the adversity we?ve had this season. Rob certainly fits into that category.?
