Peacock clean sweeps Bulls awards

Jamie Peacock made it a clean sweep at the Bradford Bulls Player of the year Awards at Odsal last night.

Peacock lifted the 2003 Bradford Bulls Player of the Year award, among his personal tally of 4 awards and beating off stiff competition from Paul Deacon and Lesley Vainikolo for the accolade.

Peacock lifted the Bradford Independent Supporters Association award for Player of the Year, the Prized Bull award as the Coach?s choice of Player of the Year, the shield for Best Forward, and the official Bradford Bulls 2003 Player of the Year award which was voted for by Bulls supporters through the Bradford Telegraph & Argus newspaper.

Clubman of the Year, awarded to the player who has done the most work in the community by Bulls Marketing, went to Michael Withers, while the Best Back award went to Lesley Vainikolo for his erupting displayers during Super League VIII.

The Junior Academy awards went to Anthony Tonks (Most Improved Player) and Justin Hunter (Player of the Year), and the Senior Academy Awards went to Richard Colley (Most Improved Player) and Aaron Smith (Player of the Year).

The Peter Lovett Trophy went to the top tackler of the season, which was James Lowes with 666 tackled over 28 rounds, and the Most Improved Player was young Full Back Stuart Reardon.

The night was a resounding success, with over 450 people packing into the New Corporate Facility at Odsal Stadium, and the atmosphere was electric as the players collected their awards and Bullman appeared with the Powergen Challenge Cup and Super League Leaders Shield.
