Perry thrilled at call
up

Brisbane coach Wayne Bennett has dumped young halfback Brett Seymour for Friday night's NRL showdown with the Sydney Roosters.

Bennett has instead recalled 28-year-old Redcliffe half Shane Perry who made his NRL comeback for the Broncos in their heavy first round loss to the unbeaten Cowboys last month. Test incumbent Brent Tate has been named on Bennett's four-man interchange bench.

But it's likely he'll start in the centres with Shaun Berrigan either starting at hooker ahead of Casey McGuire or coming off the bench as McGuire's back up.
