Peter Mata'utia to remain a Knight for another two seasons.

The Coal & Allied Newcastle Knights have confirmed the resigning of Peter Mata'utia for another two seasons, until the end of 2013.

The Raymond Terrace junior commenced his NRL career in 2009 as an up and coming member of the Knights Toyota Cup.

In 2011, Peter was named in the Coal & Allied Newcastle Knights first grade squad and debuted against the Sydney Roosters at Sydney Football Stadium where he proved his worth with a try in the second half.

Newcastle Knights Strategic Development Manager, Keith Onslow, notes how proud Knights staff and management are of Peter and how his improvements on and off the field reflect the pride and inspiration he has for his family.

Peter's three younger brothers, Chanel, Pat and Sione are all long term Knights players currently within the ranks.

"It's a case of the family that plays together stays together," said Keith.

"Despite attracting plenty of attention in recent weeks, there is a shared desire between the boys to play in the NRL together at the Knights which is very exciting."
