Petersen to undergo knee surgery

Gold Coast's hopes of securing an historic NRL finals berth have taken another blow with winger Matt Petersen set to undergo knee surgery.

Coach John Cartwright says Petersen will visit a specialist this week but the news doesn't look good for the Titans, who have 10 regular first graders out injured. A knee operation would likely sideline Petersen for the next four weeks.

The 10th-placed Titans will be out to snap a four-match losing streak on Saturday night when they take on South Sydney at Telstra Stadium.
