Castleford v Wigan (Round 6)

Ian Millward remains upbeat as he prepares to take his Wigan side to Castleford on Sunday seeking their first away win of the season.

The Warriors have lost four of their opening five matches of their engage Super League campaign and now face a run of four consecutive away games.

?I didn?t want to be in this situation where we have won just one in five but that is reality,? said Millward. ?We now have 23 games to show what we are all about.

?I want us to keep improving. We need to get more consistency but I am confident in what we are doing. We are all working hard.?

Danny Orr and Wayne Godwin both return to their hometown club and face their former team-mates, as does Castleford prop Danny Sculthorpe, who is on a season-long loan from Wigan.

The Tigers, firm pre-season favourites for relegation, have won two of their last three matches to defy the critics and Millward is expecting a tough test.

?Any team that wins their last two games will be difficult to beat and to get a win in London against Harlequins is very hard to do,? he said. ?They have played well.

?The Jungle is an old-style rugby league environment and we have two ex-Cas players going back in Danny Orr and Wayne Godwin.?

Like most observers, Castleford coach Terry Matterson has been shocked by Wigan?s poor start and expects them to turn the corner quickly.

?It?s crazy,? he said. ?I watched them on video and they?ve got plenty of play in them.

"We don?t know what they?re going to bring here so we have to work on our game and get that right. But Wigan have a lot of good players. I think it will be a good game ? I?m excited about it.?
