Preview: Leeds v Bradford (Round
9)

Leeds Rhinos are hoping the sweet scent of revenge will be in the air for the second time in a week when they take on Bradford in Thursday?s engage Super League derby at Headingley.

The Rhinos avenged their Challenge Cup final defeat by Hull last Friday and now have the chance to atone for their Grand Final loss to the Bulls in a re-run of last October?s Old Trafford showdown.

Leeds not only have home advantage but go into the opening fixture of a packed Easter programme as one of the form teams of Super League against a side reeling from a shock home defeat by Warrington.

Rhinos coach Tony Smith is anticipating a backlash from the champions and insists their Grand Final defeat will not provide any additional motivational for his players.

?I know we are going to face a different team to what we saw last week,? he said.

?They will have a lot of determination to put things right.

?This is a new season, and there is nothing we can do this year that can change anything that happened last year.

?I was asked the same question last week about the Challenge Cup. I don?t think the Grand Final has a bearing on Thursday?s game. There have been so many changes to the make-up of both teams.?
