Preview: Wakefield v
Castleford (Round 9)

Castleford Tigers have included their current assistant coach Brad Davis in their squad for Friday night?s derby clash with the Wakefield Wildcats.

Davis ?hung up his boots? after a man of the match performance in last year?s National League final and had no plans to play in the top flight.

However, despite an ongoing search, the Tigers haven?t yet been able to secure the services of an experienced half-back and in the short term have turned to Davis.

Chief Executive, Richard Wright, said: ?The Tigers attempts to strengthen at half back has been well documented, and the search continues.

?However, our most recent performances have illustrated that the need is becoming more pressing and as a short term measure the clubs current assistant coach, Brad Davis, whose legendary status was confirmed in last years NL Grand Final, has put his hand up to step into the breach and looks set to make a Super League return.

?Brad has shown in recent years that age has been no barrier to quality and we are sure that he can prove an asset and help some of our younger players, although he himself only wants his return to action to be quite brief.?
