Warrington v Leeds (Round 12)

Warrington winger Henry Fa?afili has revealed how he developed his trademark leap to avoid missiles being hurled by his angry mother.

The 25-year-old Kiwi international is third in the engage Super League try-scoring charts with 12 touchdowns in 11 matches, many of them after jumping high in the air to take crossfield kicks.

?I?ve always been able to jump high,? he said. ?It started when I got home from school late and my mum threw all sorts things at me. I?d have to leap pretty high to avoid them.?

Fa?afili, who will be looking to maintain his prolific scoring rate against Leeds at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, has earned the praise of coach Paul Cullen after being named Warrington?s player of the month.

?Henry?s performance on the field, on the training park and in the gym is superb,? he said. ?His conduct both on and off the field are exemplary.?

Warrington are aiming for a fifth win in six matches to maintain their steady climb up the table while Leeds will be looking to close the gap on leaders St Helens to four points.

The Rhinos lost 33-16 to an Andrew Johns-inspired Warrington side on their last visit to the Halliwell Jones Stadium in September and coach Tony Smith is aware of the size of their task.

?They are a well coached team who can cause any team problems,? he said. ?They will be full of confidence after their win over Bradford and, like ourselves, have had longer than normal to prepare for this game.

?They have a proud home record and players within their team who can create opportunities and in Henry Fa?afili they have one of the form finishers in Super League.?

Half-back Chris Bridge is the Wolves? only injury absentee while Leeds welcome back Great Britain centre Chev Walker and Australia prop Mark O?Neill keeps his place after a making an impressive debut in last week?s win over Castleford.

Great Britain centre Keith Senior, who has scored four tries in his last two appearances against Warrington, will be hoping to add to his tally and belatedly celebrate his 30th birthday.
