R2K is entering a team in the `St.George Relay For Life' on May 1 at Oki Jubilee Stadium. Organised by the Cancer Council of NSW, the event is an outdoor community fundraising event where teams of 10-15 people take turns to run or walk around Jubilee Stadium to honour those who have had their lives touched by cancer.
The event is a celebration of life, bringing together cancer survivors, carers, family and friends from the local area with the common goal of defeating cancer.
R2K Secretary John Ormsby hopes that St.George-Illawarra supporters will get behind the relay that is likely to become an annual event at Kogarah:
"R2K is supporting the St.George Relay For Life as it's for a very important cause and the event is continuing to boost Kogarah's profile as a multi-purpose facility."
